ALBANY, N.Y. -- Terrence Todd scored a career-high 20 points, while Tyquawn Goode added 14 points and six assists in Fairfield University's (11-5 overall, 7-0 MAAC) 80-71 come-from-behind victory over Siena College (10-6, 4-3). The win extended the Stags win overall win streak to six games, and their road victory string to four contests. The 7-0 start in MAAC competition ties the best start in Fairfield history, equalling the 1985-86 team's accomplishment.

Fairfield won this game in dramatic fashion, getting off to its slowest start of the season. The Red and White scored just four points in the first 10 minutes of the game, and found themselves by as many as 17 points, 23-6 with eight minutes remaining in the first half. However, the Stags cut into that lead with a late surge, pulling within 10 points at intermission, 32-22. Todd scored the final eight Fairfield points in the half.

Within the first four minutes of the second half, the Stags cut the double-digit lead to just four points, 39-35, following a lay up by DeWitt Maxwell. Deng Gai and Kudjo Sogadzi each scored four points during that opening run. Siena's Prosper Karangwa single-handedly kept his team in the game by hitting three free throws, and adding a pair of jumpers to push the lead back to nine points with 13:59 remaining, 48-39.

Fairfield eventually tied the game for the first time following a lay up by Todd, making the score 54-54 with nine minutes remaining. After forcing a Siena turnover, the Stags took the lead for good on their next possession. Tyquawn Goode netted a three-pointer with 8:08 left on the clock, giving the Red and White their first lead of the game. Siena hung around for a few minutes, before Fairfield put the game to rest by making 14 consecutive free throws over the final two-plus minutes, a streak started with four straight charity tosses by Nick Delfico.

The Stags, which shot 29.6 percent from the field in the first half, made 18 of 26 field goal attempts in the second half (69.2 percent) which raised the team's field goal percent to 49.1 percent for the game. The team also made 24 of its 28 free throw attempts (85.7 percent).
