BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) - David Wingate scored 10 of his 23 points in the final 3:30 as Manhattan held off Fairfield 74-69 Friday in a Metro Atlantic Athletic game.

Arturo Dubois had 16 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks for Manhattan (12-6, 8-2 MAAC) and Devon Austin scored 15.

Manhattan played its second straight game without leading scorer C.J. Anderson, who was serving a suspension.

Terrence Todd scored 23 for Fairfield (6-12, 3-6) and Herbie Allen added 10.

Mike Konovelchick put Manhattan ahead 66-63 with a pass from his back to a wide-open Dubois. After the teams traded points, Todd scored with 25 seconds left to pull the Stags within 70-69.

But Wingate made a pair of free throws and a Michael Van Schaick's 3-pointer was no good.

Fairfield led 43-34 early in the second half, but Manhattan scored 16 straight points to start a 28-5 run that put the Jaspers in front by 14. Dubois scored nine points during the run.

Fairfield responded with 13 straight points, including eight from Todd, to make it a one-point game with five minutes to play.
