BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - Corey Herring scored 32 points to lead Canisius to an 87-71 win over Fairfield in Metro Atlantic play Sunday.
Canisius snapped a six-game losing streak.
Herring scored 20 points in the first half as the Golden Griffins (5-14, 4-7 MAAC) took a 41-35 halftime lead.
Fairfield (6-13, 4-7) pulled to within 10 on back-to-back 3-pointers by Herbie Allen and Michael Bell with 13:23 left in the second half but came no closer.
Jon Popofski added 16 points for the Golden Griffins, while Harris and Darnell Wilson each scored 13.
Terrence Todd led Fairfield with 27 points.
