NEW YORK (AP) - Peter Mulligan scored 28 points to lead Manhattan to a 69-61 victory over Fairfield on Sunday.
Freshman C.J. Anderson added 17 points for Manhattan (10-8, 5-5 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference), which never trailed and led by as many as 14 points in the second half.
Mulligan's dunk gave the Jaspers a 47-33 lead with 14:01 remaining.
DeWitt Maxwell had 19 points for the Stags (10-9, 7-3), who pulled within 65-61 on Kudjo Sogadzi's jumper with 50 seconds left.
Manhattan then put the game away on a layup by Mulligan and two free throws by Kenny Minor.
Terrence Todd had 16 points and Deng Gai added 12 points and eight blocked shots for Fairfield, which shot only 27 percent from the field.
