CHICAGO (AP) - Delonte Holland scored 20 points for the second straight game to lead all scorers as DePaul beat Fairfield 73-45 on Saturday.
The win gave DePaul its first 3-0 start since the 1990-91 season. DePaul, which led by as much 33, was 8-of-16 from 3-point range and shot 24-for-54.
Sam Hoskin had 12 points and nine rebounds and Joe Tulley added 12, all from 3-point range. Oscar Garcia paced Fairfield (2-3) with 12 points.
DePaul used a 14-8 run to open a 33-17 halftime lead, then started the second half with a 7-2 run to put go up 40-19 with 16:25 to go.
After tightening its defense, Fairfield went on a 10-0 run to cut the lead to 40-29 with 13:19 left. Holland then scored 10 points as part of a 24-7 DePaul run for a 64-36 lead with 3:25 to go.
