WILMINGTON, N.C. (AP) - Brett Blizzard scored 16 points and Ed Williams recorded 13 points and 11 rebounds as North Carolina-Wilmington defeated Farifield 82-57 on Friday night.
The Seahawks (6-5) broke open the game with a 14-6 run to close out the half and take a 43-27 lead. N.C.-Wilmington went on a 13-6 run to begin the second half to extend its lead to 23.
The Seahawks cruised to the win despite shooting just 41 percent from the field for the game but managed eight 3-pointers on 40 percent shooting from behind the arc.
Craig Callahan scored 12 points and Anthony Terrell added 11 for N.C.-Wilmington.
Farifield, coming off a 17-day holiday break, got 13 points from Jeremy Logan and 11 from Ajou Deng in the loss.
The Stags (1-8) were outrebounded 49-38.
