LOS ANGELES (AP) - Terrence Todd scored 18 points, including the game-winning layup with 4.2 seconds to lead Fairfield past Cal State Northridge 66-65 on Friday.
The Matadors (5-5) had a chance to win the game in the closing seconds, but Mike Efevberha dribbled into three Fairfield players and had the ball knocked away as time expired. Efevberha had given Northridge a 65-64 lead with his first field goal of the night, coming with 18 seconds to play.
Jonathan Heard led Northridge with a career-best 25 points and 10 rebounds and Calvin Chitwood added 10 points.
Fairfield (2-7) was led by DeWitt Maxwell who scored 13 points.
The win snapped the Stags' (2-7) three-game losing streak and ended Northridge's seven-game home win streak.
