FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Freshman Jonathan Han (Brooklyn, N.Y.) earned the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Rookie of the Week award after averaging 12.7 points and 5.3 rebounds over three games last week. The guard received the award for the first time.

His week started with a 12-point effort against Providence College, securing six rebounds, dishing off four assists, and picking up three steals. He followed up the performance with 15 markers against nationally-ranked University of Iowa, recording a career-high seven assists with two steals and five caroms in the game. He capped the week with 11 points, five rebounds and five assists in the victory over Tulane University.

Han shot 60 percent from three-point range during the week, netting nine of 15 attempts from behind the line. He also had 16 assists against only four turnovers in the three outings.

The Brooklyn native currently leads the team in scoring with 12.6 points per game, and with 5.0 assists per game. He places second among his teammates with 4.2 caroms per contest.

The Fairfield University men's basketball team, under head coach Tim O'Toole, will return to action on Friday, December 9 when it opens the MAAC portion of the schedule. The Stags host undefeated Loyola College (4-0) in the second half of a doubleheader with tip-off slated for 8:30 pm.
