
Men's Golf Finishes 15th At ECAC Division I Championship

The Fairfield University men’s golf team finished in 15th
place at the ECAC Division I Men’s Championship, held Oct.
13-14 at the Shelton Harbor Golf Course in Charlestown, R.I.
The Stags shot 314-313 for a two-day 627, +59, as a team.
SophomoreR.J.
Zielinski finished the event with a two-day score of
154, +12, led the Stags. The sophomore improved four strokes
on day two, shooting 79-75 for the tournament. Rookie Jeff
Bradke posted back-to-back rounds of 78 to finish in a
tie for 41st place, with a two-day 156, +14.
Nick
Gliozzo shot 79-78 for the Stags to finish in 45th
place with a score of 157, +15. Rob
Tarrallo shot 78-82 for the event, finishing in 57th
place with a final total of 160, +18. Teammate Kevin
Fitzpatrick rounded out the Stags effort with a 160,
+19, shooting 79-82 for the weekend.
Sean Curtin of Iona shot 72-72 for a +2, 144, to capture
individual honors. St. Bonaventure shot 293-303 for a
team-total 596, +28, to win the event.
The Stags are back in action this coming weekend, playing 54-holes
Oct 18-19 at the Mount St. Mary Invitational, being played at the
Quail Valley Golf Course. The men will conclude the fall
portion of their schedule Oct. 21-23 at the NEIGA Championship.
