
Stags Finish Sixth At Mount St. Mary's Fall Classic

The Fairfield University men’s golf team finished in sixth
place, ahead of MAAC foe Rider, at the Mount St. Mary’s Fall
Classic. The Stags shot 301-308, for a two-day 609, +33, in
the event held at the par-72 Quail Valley Golf Course in
Littlestown, Pa.

Zielinzki was the Stags top finisher in the two-day
event, with a +5, 149, good for a tie for ninth place. He was
fourth best on day one with a round of 73 and than carded a 76 in
round two. Rob
Tarallo was the Stags next finisher, in 26th place,
with back-to-back rounds of 77, good for a +10, 144.
Nick
Gliozzo finished a stroke back of Tarallo, in a 27th
place tie, with a 78-77, +11, 145. William
Onstott was also in the tie for 27th, shooting 77-78
at the event. Kevin
Fitzpatrick rounded out the Stags effort, tying for
41st place. He shot 74-84, for a +14, 158.
Sean Davy of Hofstra and Tyler Brewington of Rider finished with
matching 143 scores, minus-one, to share individual honors.
The host Mountaineers captured the crown at +14, 590 (291-299)
The Fairfield men are finishing up the fall schedule Monday and
Tuesday at the NEIGA Championship.
