
Men's Golf Finishes Seventh At CSU Spring Kick Off

The Fairfield University men’s golf team shot a
three-round 933 at the CSU Spring Kick Off Tournament in
Charleston, S.C. The Stags total placed them seventh in a
field of 10, comprised of the likes of Memphis and Notre Dame.
The three-round event was played March 3-4 at the Coosaw Creek
Country Club. The course played at par-71, 6,593 yards.
R.J. Zielinski was the Stags top finisher, playing in a three-way
tie for 14th. The junior shot his best round of the
tournament, a 72, in the opening round, and followed with 78-74, to
finish at +11, 224.
Kevin Fitzpatrick was the Stags next finisher, in two-way tie for
33rd place, shooting a +21, 234. He shot 73-75-86 to compile
the score. Nick Gliozzo carded a 238, +25, to finish in a
three-way tie for 37th place. Gliozzo put up back-to-back
77’s in the first two rounds.
Rob Tarallo and William Onstott finished off the Stags effort at
the event. Tarallo finished 47th with a #+31, 244, with a 79
in the third round. Onstott was two strokes back, 246,
carding 82’s in each round.
The Stags are back in action on Friday and Saturday, hosting the
Fairfield Spring Invitational in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
