Fairfield University golf coach Len Roberto was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Coach of the Year, as voted by the league’s head coaches.  It is the second coach of the year accolade for the Stags mentor, now in his 10th season.

“I am honored to be recognized by my peers with this award,” said Roberto.  “This is a testament to the hard-work and dedication of our student-athletes, and I am proud to share this award with them.”

Roberto led the Stags to a fifth-place finish at the 2008 MAAC Championship, moving up two spots from last season.

Roberto first earned the honor following the 2004 season.
