The Fairfield University men's golf team sits in seventh place after the second round of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championship at the Magnolia Golf Course at the Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World. Fairfield shot 309 as a team in the second round, and entering the final round are +41, at 617, one back of Canisius College.
Greg Elting shot a second round 74, for a two-day 150, +6, to maintain his position in a10th place tie. Also in the three-way tie for 10th entering the final round is R.J. Zielinski, who shot a 76 on Saturday.
Senior Dan Quatrocelli carded his second consecutive 77 on Saturday, and is tied for 15th place at +10, 154. William Onstott shot an 82 on Saturday, to move to +19, 163, and holds 36th place by himself, three strokes shy of moving into the top 30 at the event.
Rob Tarallo shot an 82 on day two, improving his first round score by six strokes. He moved up one spot, into a tie for 40th place, with a two-day 170, +26.
Siena College leads the event with a +17 team score, entering the third and final round on Sunday.
