New Haven, CT: Fairfield University Men's Golfer Chris Bengert finished in a tie for 10th place with rounds of 78 and 72 to lead the Stags to a 15th place finish this weekend at the MacDonald Cup held at the Yale University Golf Course.
Tom Leaver was the Stags next lowest finisher with an opening round 83 and a second score of 84 for a tie for tie for 68th. James Turnesa posted scores of 85 and 84 (tie for 72), Mike Gearan shot 87 and 82 (tie for 72), and Same Lauria tied for 79th with scores of 91 and 84.
The Stags are back in action this weekend when they travel to Cape Cod, MA to compete in the New Englad Intercollegiate Golf Association Championships.
