WALLINGFORD, Conn. - Senior Jonathan Vannelli (Medford, N.J.) shot a 75 (+4) on the day to take third-place at the 18-hole Bobcat Invitational on Friday afternoon.

The six-team invitational, which was won by the University of Connecticut with a team-total of 305, was played at The Farms Country Club, a 6,518-yard, par 71 course. Sacred Heart University took second with a 313 while the host Quinnipiac University finished in third with a 322. The Stags edged out Boston University by two strokes to take fourth-place overall with a 325 while the Bobcats Blue squad rounded out the field with a 369.

Junior Matt Ferrigno (Lincroft, N.J.) tied for 10th-place overall with an 80 (+9) while freshman Rob Tarallo (Easton, Mass.) finished three strokes back to take 16th place. Sophomore Dan Quatrocelli (Manchester, Conn.) finished in 22nd place with an 87 (+16) on the day while sophomore Ryan Furman (Garden City, N.Y.) rounded out the Stags with a 90 (+18).

This was the final fall event for the Stags.
