The Fairfield University men's and women's golf teams had a total of five student-athletes named to the 2006 MAAC All-Academic Team, announced by the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) in conjunction with the conference championship.

On the men's side senior Jonathan Vanelli (Medford, N.J.) earned the accolade for a third time. He is a finance major.

The women's team equaled Siena with the greatest number of selections to the team, with four. Senior Lindsey Ryan (Berlin, Conn.) is a marketing major who earned her third All-MAAC Academic Team selection. Three juniors also earned the honor, each for a second time. Catherine Alessi, a nursing major, Amy Bordonaro (Berlin, Conn.), a marketing major and Liz McCabe (Wellesley, Mass.) an International Studies major, were all recognized by the MAAC.

To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution, be a significant starter or reserve and hold a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
