Fairfield University head golf coach Len Roberto announced the fall portion of the Stags 2006-07 men's and women's golf schedules. The men will compete in four events, while the women will play three times in the fall.
The women will open the year in Massachusetts, playing at the Mt. Holyoke Invitational, at The Orchards Golf Course. That event will run from September 22-24. The next weekend the Stags will play at the Lady Bison Fall Classic, hosted by Bucknell University. The event, September 29-October 1, is scheduled for the Bucknell Golf Course.
The Stags will travel to the mid-Atlantic region for the ECAC Women's Golf Championship, October 6-8. That event will be played at the Kiskiack Golf Course n Williamsburg, Va. October 12-14 will find the women's team at the Rutgers Women's Invitational, played on the Rutgers Golf Course, in Piscataway, N.J. The final scheduled tournament will be October 27-29 in Milford, Conn., at the Sacred Heart Invitational at Great Rivers Golf Course.
The men's team will open the fall season in New Britain, Conn., as they participate at the Blue Devil Invitational. The host, Central Connecticut State, has the event schedule for September 15-17 at Stanley Golf Course. After a week lay-off, the Stags will take part in the Dartmouth Men's Golf Invitational, September 29 - October 1. The first full weekend of October will find the Fairfield men in the Hudson Valley at host Army. The Black Knights will host the Mulekicker Fall Classic at West Point, N.Y., October 6-8.
The Stags will spend the final two fall events in New England. October 13-15 is the ECAC Championship, this year being played at the Shelter Harbor Golf Course, in Charlestown, R.I. The final scheduled event of the fall is the NEIGA Championship, October 22-24. This year the NEIGA is being played in Cape Cod, Mass., at the Captains Golf Course.
