Men's Lacrosse Finishes 2008 Campaign Saturday At St. John's

Apr 24, 2008

The Fairfield University men's lacrosse team will conclude its 2008 season at St. John's University on Saturday at 1 p.m.  The Stags enter the contest with a 4-8 overall record and are 2-4 in ECAC Lacrosse League play, while the Red Storm are 1-10 on the year and 1-5 in conference action (game notes).

The Stags earned the program's first-ever win over UMass, 10-9, in the team's last outing on Tuesday.  The victory snapped an eight game losing streak for the squad.

Fairfield and St. John's are meeting for the fourth time in men's lacrosse, and the third time as ECAC foes.  The Stags are 3-0 all-time in the series.  The first ECAC meeting between the two teams was during the 2006 season, in Queens, N.Y., a 12-7 Fairfield win.
