2007: Piedrahita continued to play a pivotal role in the center of the field last year, appearing in 14 games. He started 12 of his appearances, giving him 33 starts in 36 career games. He missed the last three regular season games with an injury before returning to the lineup for the conference tournament. His first collegiate goal was also the game winner in the Stags victory over Hartford. The shot was one of three that the midfielder took during 2007. He came off the bench just twice in 2007 which came against Harvard and Loyola.

2006: Piedrahita led all Fairfield freshmen student athletes with 21 starts, and gained entry to all 22 games. He came off the bench one time, a non-conference match up against Pittsburgh. Ironically, he tallied his first collegiate point against the Panthers, setting up the game-winning goal in the second half. For his effort, Piedrahita was named the MAAC Rookie of the Week. He registered three total points in 2006, adding an assist in the Siena and Iona games. He earned a spot on the MAAC All-Rookie team for his performance during the regular season.

Before Fairfield: Piedrahita captured most major New York state soccer awards as a senior at White Plains High School. The midfielder/forward was selected the New York State player of the year, the Section I player of the year, the Journal News player of the year, and the Region II (All-America) player of the year. Within his league, Piedrahita secured All-League and All-Section accolades. As a senior, the forward was named captain by his teammates and coaches. Piedrahita earned the most valuable student-athlete at White Plains High School.
