2006 Season: An off-season injury carried into the start of the 2006 season for McLeod, but the midfielder recovered by mid-October. His first game of the season came at Manhattan, a 1-0 win for the Stags. Fairfield posted a win in seven of his nine appearances, including both MAAC tournament games and the NCAA tournament first round contest. McLeod assisted on Fairfield's first goal against the University of Connecticut, the program's first-ever NCAA tourney goal. Later in that game, McLeod injured his knee again to end his season. He is fully recovered and expects to be back in the mix early in the season. He started seven of his nine games, coming off the bench against Manhattan and Canisius.

2005 Season: McLeod picked up several honors during his rookie campaign, highlighted by the MAAC's Rookie of the Year award. He also secured berths to the All-MAAC second team as well as the MAAC All-Rookie squad. From the University, McLeod was selected the Freshman of the Year by vote of the Fairfield head coaches. He tallied five points during the year with a goal and three assists. His first career point was an assist in a 5-0 victory over Adelphi University. He tallied an assist in back-to-back games against Niagara and Canisius, both victories at home. McLeod registered his first career goal in a 1-0 win against Siena College, which finished off the team's unbeaten conference schedule.

Before Fairfield:  McLeod joined the men's soccer program after graduating from Marion W. Graham High School in Saskatchewan. The midfielder brought international experience with him, playing this past summer with the Canadian U-18 team. The squad posted a 2-0 win over the United State in a two-game series played in Minnesota. McLeod set up the game-winning goal in the opener, a 2-0 win for Canada. The Saskatoon native played competitively with the Canadian national team (under-17), giving him several years of international experience. McLeod gained additional expertise at the club level by as a member of the Saskatchewan National Training Centre squad.
