Five of his six goals were game-winning scores, deciding the Cornell, Siena, Marist, Niagara, and Loyola games. His only non-game winning goal came against Loyola in the MAAC tournament, scoring twice in a 3-0 MAAC tournament semi-final victory. Bailey finished the campaign with 16 total points, which placed him second to Alex Cunliffe's 20 points. He has been second in scoring in each of his three years at Fairfield. Bailey earned the MAAC Offensive Player of the Week award on October 2 after scoring deciding goals against Marist and Siena. He capped his junior season with a berth to the All-MAAC second team.
2005 Season: Bailey started all 20 games in 2005, which extended his consecutive start streak to 35. The midfielder has started every game that he has donned a Fairfield University kit. He is the team's top returning scorer with 19 points, seven goals and five assists in his 20 appearances. Bailey tallied at least one point in 11 of 20 games, which included seven multi-point outings. In fact, he tallied two or more points in five of the final nine outings. He opened the season with a goal and an assist in Fairfield's 2-1 victory over North Carolina State, assisting on the game-winning goal. He tallied a game-winning goal in three consecutive games, as the Stags defeated Rider and Loyola on the road as well as Manhattan at home. Nearly half of his 16 shots on goal found the back of the net, while 62 percent of his shots were on goal.
2004 Season: Bailey started all 15 of his appearances last season, missing only the season finale against Manhattan. He picked up MAAC All-Rookie accolades following his inaugural campaign, scoring three goals and three assists for nine total points. His three assists and nine points ranked second on the team, while his three goals placed him in a three-way tie for the runner-up spot. He tallied one game-winning goal in 2004, scoring the final goal in a 3-2 win at Boston University. All nine of his points came on the road, registering a point in four of the team's seven away contests.
Before Fairfield: His resume includes a great deal of time as an international competitor. Bailey attended Helsby High School, and spent his career as an attacking player. He also gained experience as a forward for Cheshire County and District Runcorn. Plus, Bailey was one of 28 finalists for the England Schoolboys team in 2004. He lists business management as his academic major.
