2007: Nathans tied for the team lead for scoring among freshmen with four points, scoring a goal in two of the Stags' last three games. His first goal was the game winner in a 1-0 decision against Iona, scoring off a free kick from 25 yards out. He came back with his second goal in the MAAC tournament semifinal against Saint Peter's, a header that put Fairfield in front 1-0. Nathans started six games in 2007, his first nod coming against Manhattan. All of his starts were against MAAC opponents and four of those games were at home. He appeared in 17 games, coming off the bench 11 times. Nathans also was the leading hitter on the Fairfield University baseball team with a .326 batting average. He recorded nine doubles, one triple, four homers, and a team-best 29 RBI.

Before Fairfield: Nathans attended Salisbury High School before enrolling at Fairfield University. He was a four-year player with the soccer team, where he established himself as one of New York State?s top forwards. He secured All-State honors and All-New England Prep honors at Salisbury, where he also established a school record for career goals and points.
