FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- The Fairfield University men's soccer team continued to move up the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) national poll, reaching the number 15 slot of the October 10 ranking. The Stags were ranked 19th in the October 3 poll. Head Coach Carl Rees led his team to two wins between October 3-9, which helped his squad move up the four spots.

The team defeated Yale University by a 3-1 count in a non-conference game on October 4, and followed up with a 2-1 victory over Iona College in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) contest. The two victories improved Fairfield's overall record to 8-2-1 and 3-0 in MAAC play.

The Stags will play a pair of conference games this weekend when they travel to Manhattan College on Friday, October 13 and Saint Peter's on Sunday, October 15.
