NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. - The men's tennis team fell to Niagara 4-1. The Purple Eagles won their seventh straight to move to 5-0 in the MAAC and 8-6 overall while the Stags fall to 7-8, 2-2 in the MAAC.

Fairfield swept all three doubles matches, but were stopped in singles play.

At No. 1 doubles, Ryan Berthod and Rob Ferrante defeated Marc Dickinson and Roman Silin, 8-6. At No. 2 doubles, George Laffey and Glen Gannon downed Walter Garcia and Alex Abji, 8-4. At No. 3 doubles, Chip Palumbo and Balazs Szikla stopped Joe Heckley and Nick Bolea, 8-5.

At No. 1 singles, Berthod fell to Garcia, 6-2, 6-1. At No. 3 singles, Laffey fell to Silin, 6-4, 6-1. At No. 4 singles, Gannon fell to Collin Laffey, 6-2, 6-4. At No. 5 singles, Palumbo fell to Dickinson, 6-2, 6-4.

At No. 2 singles, the match between Abji and Ferrante was unfinished.
