STAMFORD, Conn. - The men's tennis team defeated Holy Cross, 6-0, on Saturday night to improve to 2-0 on the season.
At first singles, Jon Fernando defeated Angelo Sica, 6-1, 7-5, while freshman Ryan Berthod blanked John Burke, 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 singles. The Stags' success continued at No. 3 singles as Zachary Morrison downed Marco Lombardo, 6-0, 6-2.
At No. 4 singles, Balazs Szikla defeated Jay DeSanto, 6-1, 6-0. At No. 5 singles Glen Gannon beat Tom Moran, 6-2, 6-1. Freshman Bob Kelly rounded out the field with a 6-0, 6-1 victory against Brendan McElhenny.
