STORRS, Conn. - The Stags wrapped up play at the UConn Invitational on Sunday as junior Balazs Szikla fell in the semifinals of his flight.
In the semifinals of Flight Three, Szikla dropped a tough match to Federico Rolon of Marist, 6-2, 6-2. In the quarterfinals, Szikla downed Holy Cross' Tom Moran, 6-1, 6-1 on Saturday. Szikla also defeated Boston University's Jeff Chudacoff 4-6, 7-6, 10-5 in the opening round.
Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) foe Marist captured all four singles flights along with one doubles title.
Fairfield heads to the Quinnipiac Invitational Oct. 13-15.
