The Fairfield University women's basketball team will put its 3-0 record on the line on Friday in the first game  (game notes) of the Cal-Poly Holiday Beach Classic, taking on the host Mustangs at 2 p.m. pacific time.  The Mustangs are 2-2 on the year.

Fairfield is coming off a 64-49 win over Harvard on Tuesday; a game in which the Stags allowed just 12 points in the final 11 minutes of play.  The Stags are now 2-0 in road games this season, and are 3-0 for just the second time in the program's Division I history.

Hot Start:
 * The Stags 3-0 start marks just the third time in varsity history and second time at the Division I level that the Stags have accomplished the feat
 * Fairfield began the 1983-84 campaign with seven straight wins, and 12 of the first 13, on the way to a 22-6 season
