
Stags Host Defending MAAC Champion Marist In Search Of First Conference Win

The Fairfield University women's basketball team begins a three-game homestand on Sunday, hosting defending Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) champion Marist College at Alumni Hall. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m.
The Stags are coming off of a 71-53 loss Friday at MAAC foe Saint Peter's and are 6-2 on the year and 0-1 in MAAC play. The Red Foxes opened MAAC play at home Friday night with a win over Iona, their ninth straight victory, and are 9-1 overall and 1-0 in league play.
Sabra Wrice and Baendu Lowenthal each scored 15 points for the Stags on Friday night and are leading the team in scoring, averaging 16.1 and 16.0 points per game.
Fairfield is 2-0 at home this season, defeating Sacred Heart at the Arena at Harbor Yard and Maine, a week ago, at Alumni Hall.
