FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- The Fairfield University women's crew team and the Wellness and Prevention Center are hosting a viewing of the critically acclaimed documentary "One in Nine" on February 29 at 2 pm in the Gonzaga Auditorium on campus.

This film by Diane Cotting of the Cotting Companies, a non-profit business to raise awareness on breast cancer survivors, highlights the emotions and struggles of nine breast cancer survivors as they struggle to go beyond merely "surviving."

In October 2000, Diane Cotting was ready to row - and just in time for the prestigious Head of the Charles regatta. But instead of racing with her teammates, she decided to make a bold statement. With her coach, Holly Metcalf, Olympic Gold medalist and founder of Row As One Institute, Diane found eight other women from across the country who were willing to announce to the world that they were breast cancer survivors.

Admission is FREE. Diane Cotting will join as afterwards for light refreshments. For reservations, please call the Fairfield Crew office at 203-254-4000 extension 2023 or email at Aalbert@mail.fairfield.edu.
