Boston, Mass. -- The Fairfield University women's crew team enjoyed a good day on the Charles as it participated in the prestigious Head of the Charles on October 23. The Stags placed an entry in both the club 4 and club 8 races.

In the club 4 race, the Stags finished the race in 42nd position with a time of 23:31.2. The boat included coxswain Renee Jacques, stroke Anne Cooney, Amy Albert, Jamie Hudson and bow Marina Simeone.

Fairfield had a competitive outing in the club 8 race, finishing the race in 21:01.04. The Stags, which placed 57th, managed to defeat established programs like Trinity, UMass, Bates and Mass Maritime. The team consisted of coxswain Jaime Capifali, stroke Erin Cullen, Elizabeth Strain, Correy Stephenson, Lelani Loder, Leigh Terry, Meghan Kolesk, Patty Campbell and bow Kristen Cavanaugh.
