2006 Season: Bates did not miss a game in 2006, starting 18 of her 19 appearances. By playing in all 19 games, Bates has seen action in 37 straight contests which started with the second game of the 2005 season. She tallied a goal and an assist in the campaign, which nearly equaled her two-year scoring total of four points (one goal, two assists). Her first point of the season came off an assist in a 3-2 loss to Rider University. She finished up her scoring with a goal in the Stags 2-1 win over Sacred Heart on the road. Bates registered at least one shot in six games, tallying two against UMBC, Sacred Heart, and Robert Morris.

2005 Season: Bates returns to the roster after becoming a regular in the lineup as a freshman. One of the team's quickest players, Bates saw action early in the season. She received her first action against Maine in the second game of the season. Her only absence came in the season opener against Massachusetts. The forward played in 18 straight games to end the season, all coming as a reserve. Bates tallied four points in the 2005 campaign, beginning with an assist of Fairfield's lone goal against Holy Cross. She tallied all three remaining points with a goal and an assist in a 5-0 shutout of Robert Morris. Bates took four shots during the season, including a season-high two attempts versus Robert Morris.

Before Fairfield: Brittany Bates comes to Fairfield after a successful career at Bethesda/Chevy Chase High School. She spent four years as a member of the field hockey team, contributing primarily as a forward. Bates tallied 12 goals and 11 assists in her senior year, and earned the team's offensive most valuable player award. She led her high school team to the Maryland 3A state championship. Bates concluded her career with All-State, All-County, and All-Met honors. Her major is communications.
