2006 Season: Janis led all players with six assists a year ago, accounting for more than one-third of the team's 17 assists for the season. She placed second on the team with 12 points, tallying three goals in addition to her assist total. She netted one game-winning goal, providing the margin of victory in a 2-1 decision against Robert Morris in the regular-season finale. It marked the second straight year that she tallied the game winner against Robert Morris. She finished that game with three points, which represented a season-high. The forward started all 19 games, giving her 37 starts in 39 career appearances. Janis tallied at least one point in eight games, giving her a point in 15 of her 39 games.

2005 Season: Janis placed third overall with 14 total points in 2005. The forward tallied at least one point in seven of her 19 games with the team, posting a 5-2 record in those games. She was the team's top freshman scorer, the only rookie to reach double digits on the season. Janis tallied the team's lone goal in a 3-1 setback to Hofstra, her first collegiate points. She scored a goal in back-to-back games at Holy Cross and at Dartmouth. After being shut out against Boston University, Janis came back with points in three straight games - two goals versus Robert Morris, an assist against Monmouth, and an assist at Siena. She closed out the season with a goal against Saint Francis in the regular-season finale. Janis recorded two game-winning goals, hitting the mark against Dartmouth and Robert Morris.

Before Fairfield: Janis attended East Hampton High School where she earned varsity letters in field hockey, softball, and winter track and field. She finished her career with 42 goals and 20 assists for 104 total points. Janis was a four-year starting forward at East Hampton, which helped her garner All-Suffolk County and All-Conference honors as a field hockey player. She also received a spot on the All-Long Island and All-New York State teams as a senior. Janis competed in the Empire State Games, the National Field Hockey Festival, the National Futures tournament, and Junior Olympics. On the softball diamond, Janis was an All-Conference, All-County, and All-State catcher. She is a member of the National Honor Society.
