2006 Season: McManus worked her way into the starting lineup by the season opener, and missed only one start in her 19 games played. The defender came off the bench against Rhode Island in game three, and proceeded to garner a starting nod in the final 16 games of 2006. McManus netted one goal during her sophomore campaign, hitting the mark against UMBC. She took seven shots during the year, tallying a season-high two against UMBC and St. Francis, Pa. Four of her seven shots were against Northeast Conference opponents. McManus also enjoyed success in the defensive third of the field, helping the Stags post a couple shutouts in 2006.
2005 Season: McManus returns for another season and bolsters the defensive side of the field. She appeared in 13 games in 2005, mainly assisting the cause as a defender. She contributed as a reserve in all 13 outings, beginning with the home opener against Maine. The defender played in four of the final six regular-season games, and made an appearance in the team's Northeast Conference semi-final contest against Rider. Her defensive play helped the Stags allow two goals or less in six of her 13 appearances.
Before Fairfield: McManus enjoyed a stellar career at Merion Mercy Academy. As a defender, McManus received several honors during her senior year, which included Philadelphia All-Star, first team All-League, and first team All-Main Line. Off the field, she was named the student council vice president. She entered Fairfield University as a Dean's Scholar.
