PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- Rachel Zeldin came off the bench to score the game's only goal in the first half, lifting Drexel University (3-2 overall) to a victory over Fairfield University (1-4).
Zeldin converted a pass from Danielle Keilholz with 15 minutes remaining in the first half, beating goaltender Liz Thomas to the lower corner. Dragons goaltender Colleen McAndrew made the goal stand for the home team, making five saves to record the shutout.
Fairfield managed to get five shots on goal, with two coming from both Emily Janis and Caitlin Quinn. Drexel enjoyed a 17-6 advantage on shots, a number which was aided by 10 second-half penalty corners.
Thomas finished the game with nine saves for the Stags.
