
Women's Golf Wraps Up Hartford Women's Invitational In Third Place

The Fairfield University women’s golf team maintained its
third place standing with a second-round 338 at the Hartford
Women’s Invitational. The Stags finished the event,
played at the Rockledge Golf Course, (par-72, 5,803-yards) with a
team score of 671.
Courtney Richardson was the Stags top finisher, placing in a tie
for fourth place, with a two-day score of 162. Kristen
MacDonald replicated her round of 83 on Tuesday, for a two-day 166,
and a 12th place finish. Alicia Esposito was next for the
Stags, shooting an 88 on Tuesday, for a 17th place finish with a
172. Christiana Destefano carded an 87 on Tuesday, to finish with a
173, maintaining her spot in an 18th place tie. Annie
Sperandio was seven strokes better on Tuesday, with an 86, and
moved up four spots, to 25th place, with a 179.
Sacred Heart shot a round of 325 on Tuesday, finishing the vent
with a team score of 653, to win the team title. Natalie
Desjardins shot 77-79 for a 156 total to capture the individual
crown.
The Stags will remain in state for their next event, playing at the
Central Connecticut State Invitational April 18-20.
