The Fairfield University women's golf team finished in second place at the 2008 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championship played at the Magnolia Golf Course in Orlando, Fla.  The Stags shot 333-326-337 for a tournament total of 996, finishing behind Siena College.

The Stags top finisher was Courtney Richardson who placed sixth.  She shot 78-80-86 for the tournament, finishing with a three-day 244.  Kristen MacDonald was two shots back of her teammate, with a 246, shooting 87-79-80, good for seventh place.

Christiana Destefano carded an 85 in the final round to shoot a 253 (79-89-95) to place eighth.  Annie Sperandio shot a 258 for the tournament, 89-83-86, and placed ninth.  The Stags scoring effort was rounded out by Alicia Esposito, who was 11th, at 90-84-88, for 262.

Claire Rothschild played the event as an individual, placing 10th, with a 90-88-83, for a 261.

The event was the final event of the season for the Stags.
