The Fairfield University women’s golf team finished eighth out of 17 participating teams at the Dartmouth Women’s Invitational, Sept. 13-14.  The Stags shot a two-day 654 (320-334) in the event that was played at the Hanover Country Club.

Kristen MacDonald and Christina Destefano were the Stags top finishers, both carding two-day scores of 161.  Destefano shot a 78 in the first round, and an 83 in round two, while MacDonald shot 79-82, to tie for 20th place.

Alicia Esposito finished in a tie for 40th place, with a two-day 164.  She shot 80-84.  Caroline Hoey placed 56th in the event, with a 168, shooting 83-85.  Annie Sperandio rounded out the Stags effort with a 69th place finish, with a 173, 88-85.

Fairfield will have two weeks before they next hit the course, to play Sept. 28-30 at the Charleston Southern Invitational.  The event will be played at the Coosaw Creek Country Club in Charleston, S.C.
