SANDWICH, Mass. - The Fairfield women's golf team took ninth-place, shooting a two-day total of 732 at the Lady Eagle Invitational this weekend at the par-71, 5,802-yard Golf Course at The Ridge Club in Sandwich, Mass.

Junior Allie Schick (North Kingstown, R.I.) improved by six strokes on the second day to shoot an 81 and finish in 22nd place with a two-day total of 168 (+26) to lead the Stags. Freshman Liz McCabe (Wellesley, Mass.) finished six shots back from Schick to tie for 37th with a 174 (+32). Junior Jess Doyle (Milton, Mass.) shot a 193 (+51) to tie for 56th while sophomore Lindsey Ryan (Berlin, Conn.) tied for 61st overall with a 199 (+57). Senior Colleen Travers (Arlington, Mass.) rounded out the Stags, shooting 209 (+67) to finish in 64th place.

Georgetown University won the 12-team event, shooting 638, followed by Boston College (641), St. John's University (642), Brown University (658), and Harvard University (676).

The Stags are back in action April 12-13 as they head to West Hartford, Conn., to participate in the Hartford Invitational.
