The Fairfield University women's golf team competed at the Columbia University Roar-ee Invitational Friday and Saturday. The event was held at the Hampshire Country Club in Mamaroneck, N.Y. The course was a par-71 that played 5,833 yards.

Fairfield shot a two-day team total 743, finishing 10th. The Stags shot 372 as a team on Friday, and improved one stroke on Saturday.

Fairfield's top finisher was Alicia Esposito, who finished 37th, with a two-day 181. After shooting a first round 93, Esposito rallied for a second day 88. Courtney Richardson and Liz McCabe finished in a tie for 40th, shooting a +41, 183. Richardson shot 90-93, while McCabe shot 89-94.

Krista Duval had a strong second round as well, as she finished 53rd at +54, 196. Duval shot 100 on day one, and then bounced back with a second round 96. Lynze Murphy finished 56th at the event, shooting a two-day, +67, 209.

The Stags are back in action April 16-17 at the University of Hartford Invitational. The event will be played at the Rockledge Golf Course in West Hartford, Conn.
