The Fairfield University women's golf team shot a 367 in the first round of the Hartford Invitational. The event will be completed tomorrow, at the Par 73, 5,817 yard course at Wampanoag Country Club.
The Stags trail MAAC rival Siena by only two strokes, as the Saints are 10th, with a first round 365. St. John's shot a first-day 326 to take the lead.
Courtney Richardson shot a first round 83 and is tied for ninth place. Lindsey Ryan is in a 29th place tie after shooting an 89, while Krista Duval is tied for 46th with a 97. Amy Bordonaro is a stroke behind in a 49th place tie, while Lynze Murphy shot a 104 to finish the first day in 57th place.
