LAKE BUENA VISTA, FL.-Sophomore Allison Schick fired rounds of 77 and 82 to post the lowest individual scores of the tournament at the 2003 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championships held at Magnolia Golf Course in Lake Buena Vista, FL. Fairfield placed second as a team with a combined score of 674.

Schick's combined score totaled 159. She was followed followed by classmate Jill Macari who opened with an 81 and closed with a 90 for a combined score of 171.

Costello was one of seven Stags named to the 2003 MAAC All-Academic squad.


Freshman Lindsay Browder shot a combined score of 172, while senior Beth Costello shot 173 and sophomore Jessica Doyle shot 186.

Also announced at the tournament were the 2003 selections to the MAAC All-Academic squad. To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student must complete two semesters at their institution, be a significant starter or reserve and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.

Fairfield University led all schools with seven members named to the team. Senior Christopher Novak earned the lone spot on the men's team, while seniors Kristen Blicharz and Beth Costello, sophomores Meghan Donohue, Jill Macari, Julie McLaughlin, and Allison Schick all earned spots on the women's team.
