Results

The Fairfield University women's golf team maintained second place after shooting a second round 336, 12 shots better then round one, at the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championships in Orlando, Fla. The three-round event is being held at the Magnolia Golf Course at the Disney Wide World of Sports Complex, playing at par-72, 5,942 yards on Saturday.

Freshman Alicia Esposito shot the low round of the day, carding a 79, an 11-shot improvement from her first round score. The effort moved her from seventh place into fifth place, at +25, 10-shots back of the leader. Krista Duval played well in the second round as well, also improving 11 shots over her first round effort. She is in ninth place entering the final round with a +45, 189.

Courtney Richardson continues to pace the Stags effort, shooting an 81 on Saturday, two strokes better than day one. She maintains fourth place, at +20, one stroke behind third place, and two back of moving into second place.

Liz McCabe shot an 87 on Saturday, giving her a two-day 171, which is +27 and good for seventh place. Lynze Murphy is in eighth place after two-days, at +44, 188, shooting a second round 97.

Siena College leads the three-day event, having played +78 over the first two rounds. The event concludes Sunday morning.
