HANOVER, N.H. - Sophomore Liz McCabe (Wellesley, Mass.) began the fall season the way she ended last spring, leading the Fairfield University women's golf team to a 12th place finish at the Dartmouth Invitational at the 5,803 yard, par 72 Hanover Country Club.

McCabe shot an opening-round 82 before shooting an 87 on Sunday to finish tied for 27th place with a two-day total 169 (+25). Senior Allie Schick (North Kingstown, R.I.) improved by three strokes with a second round 84 to tie for 45th place shooting a 171 (+27) on the weekend.

Senior Jill Macari (Reading, Mass.) bested junior Jessica Doyle by one shot to tie for 67th place with a 180 (+37) while Doyle finished in 70th place, shooting rounds of 93 and 88.

Junior Lindsey Ryan (Berlin, Conn.) rounded out the Stags with a 196.

The Stags are back in action as they travel to South Hadley, Mass., and look to defend their title at the Mt. Holyoke Invitational on Sat., Sept. 25 and Sun., Sept. 26.
