HADLEY, Mass. - The Fairfield University women's golf team finished 10th in the 14-team field at the 5 ,914 yard, par 72 Mt. Holyoke Invitational, held at The Orchards this weekend. The Stags shot a combined 749 for the tournament.

St. John's University finished in first place, shooting a 645, while McDaniel College's Kelly Cramp took medallist honors with a two-day total 154 (+10).

Sophomore Liz McCabe (Wellesley, Mass.) improved by nine strokes on the second day, shooting rounds of 89 and 80 to led the Stags with a two-day total of 169 (+25) and a 15th place finish overall.

Senior Jill Macari (Reading, Mass.) and junior Jessica Doyle (Milton, Mass.) shot an identical 189 (+45) to tie for 43rd place while junior Lindsey Ryan (Berlin, Conn.) rounded out the scoring for the Stags with rounds of 102 and 100.

Fairfield is back in action on Sat., Oct. 2 as they travel to the Orchard Creek Golf Course in Albany, N.Y., for a quad-meet with Siena, Hartford and SUNY Albany.
