ALTAMONT, N.Y. - The Fairfield University women's golf team carded a 346 on the day at the University at Albany's quadrangular match at Orchard Greek Golf Course on Saturday.
Hartford's Juliana Carrillo earned medallist honors, firing a 77 to finish first out of 16 players. Siena finished with the lowest team score at 324, edging out Hartford by three strokes while the host Great Danes shot a 337.
Sophomore Liz McCabe (Wellesley, Mass.) was the Stags top finisher and tied for fifth overall with an 82. Junior Lindsey Ryan (Berlin, Conn.) put in her best performance of the fall season, tying for 10th with an 84. Junior Jessica Doyle (Milton, Mass.) finished two strokes back with an 86 while sophomore Amy Bordonaro (Berlin, Conn.) shot an 89 in her first outing of the season. Senior Jill Macari (Reading, Mass.) rounded out the Stags with a 96 on the day.
Fairfield is back in action on Fri., Oct. 8 and Sat., Oct. 9 as they travel to New Britain, Conn., to participate in the Central Connecticut Invitational.
