South Hadley, Mass.-The Fairfield University women's golf team placed ninth amidst a field of 20 teams which included the likes of Dartmouth College, Boston University, and Harvard University in the 2002 Mt. Holyoke Invitational at the Orchards Golf Course. Sophomore Allison Schick led the Stags with an opening round of 81 and a closing round of 85.

Sophomore Jill Macari was Fairfield's next best finisher with an 86 and a 97 for a two day total of 183, placing her in a tie for 43rd overall. Freshman Lindsay Browder tied for 45th with a 98 and an 86 for a combined score of 184.

Macari shot a two-day total score of 183.


Rounding out the Fairfield scorers were senior Beth Costello who shot a combined score of 189 and sophomore Julie McLoughlin who shot a two-day total of 200.

The Stags are back in action this weekend when they travel to compete in the Georgetown Invitational.
