FARMINGDALE, N.Y. - In day one action at the 2003 Hofstra Invitational, the Fairfield University women's golf team is currently tied for third-place along with Columbia University with a score of 339. St. Francis leads the field, shooting a 322 while Long Island put up a 338, good for second-place.
The Stags' top individual finisher on day one was freshman Liz McCabe (Wellesley, Mass.), who shot an 81 (+11) and is in a tie for seventh place while junior Allison Schick (North Kingston, R.I) is two shots back, tied for 10th place.
The Hofstra Invitational will conclude with the second and final round on Saturday at Bethpage State Park in Farmingdale, New York.
