Final Stats

The Fairfield University women's golf team wrapped up the fall portion of its schedule, competing at the Sacred Heart Fall Classic. The Stags placed sixth in the 10 team event, with a two-day team total of 713.

The event, played at the Great River Golf Club, par-72, in Milford, Conn., was pushed back one day, due to heavy rains on Saturday.

Rookie Alicia Esposito paced the Stags effort, placing 10th with a two-day 168. After shooting 88 in the first round, the newcomer notched a team low round of 80 on Monday, to move up the rankings.

Courtney Richardson was next for the Stags, as she shot a 170, good for a tie for 12th place. She shot back-to-back rounds of 85. The Stags next finisher was Liz McCabe who finished in 25th place. She shot 89-91, for a two-day 180.

Lynze Murphy shot a two-day 201 for the Stags, shooting 98-103 and placing 42nd. One stroke and one place back of her was Krista Duval, who shot 105-97 for a two-day 202.

Boston College captured the team event with a two-day 658. Sacred Heart's Jennifer Tierney was in the individual champion shooting 83-75, for a two-day 158.
