Falmouth, Mass. - The Fairfield University women's golf team finished seventh at the 2005 ECAC Division I Women's Golf Championship hosted a the Ballymead Country Club. The Stags posted a two-day total of 737 in the 10-team field.

The Stags were paced by the eighth place finish of Courtney Richardson (Alton, Mass.). Richardson shot 172 for the event, including a second round 84. Liz McCabe (Wellesley, Mass.) shot a 182 (96-86) to earn 21st place for the Stags.

Krista Duval (Quincy, Mass.) completed the two-day event with a 187, shooting 93-94, and placing 29th. Lindsay Ryan (Berlin, Conn.) was next for the Stags in 37th place, shooting 196 (100-96). Lynze Murphy (Shelton, Conn.) shot a two-day 205 (103-102) to finish 52nd.

Harvard shot a two-day team total 650 as the Crimson claimed four of the top five spots in the event. Ballymead Country Club, in Falmouth, Mass., is a Par 72 that played 5,852 yards during the event.

The Stags will close out the fall portion of their schedule Oct. 29-30 at the Sacred Heart Invitational in Shelton, Conn.
