The Fairfield University women's lacrosse team closed out a three game road swing with a 15-9 loss at Boston College this afternoon. The loss drops the Stags to 3-4, while the Eagles improve to 4-3.

Boston College scored twice early, at 28:51 and 26:52, but the Stags answered, with goals from Amy Neville (26:19) and Rebecca White (20:27) to knot the score 2-2. The Eagles would take control of the game from there, scoring five unanswered goals in a 10:40 span, to take a 7-2 edge. White tallied her second goal of the game with 43 seconds to play in the half, making the intermission score, 7-3.

The Eagles scored three more goals in the first 5:05 of the second half to open the 10-3 lead. However, the Stags would not go quietly. Beth Loffredo touched net for the first time at 24:55 and again at 20:43 after another Boston College goal. The Eagles scored again at 19:49 and Lara Hannigan touched net for the Stags at 19:37 to make the score 12-6. The Eagles extended the lead to 14-6 at 10:57. Loffredo scored her third goal at 8:14, 13 seconds before White had her third of the night. Loffredo wrapped up the Stags scoring with 7:42 to play, and the score 14-9. The Eagles would add a goal with 1:40 to play.

Kristin Genovese had five saves and allowed seven goals in the first half. Lauren Chatnik made nine stops, allowing eight goals, in her time in net.

Loffredo's four goals gives her 20 on the year and 119 for her career, one shy of tying Jessica Conahan for the all-time goals lead at Fairfield. With 30 points on the year, 10 assists, she is one shy of tying Colleen Cunningham for second all-time, with 153 points.

Rebecca White scord three goals, doubling her season total.

The Stags are off for a week, before taking on Yale, on March 29 at 3 p.m. in New Haven, Conn.
